  1. It is difficult to make predictions, especially about the future. - Attributed to Danish politician Karl Kristian Steincke.
  2. Class act, good coach.
  3. Are we going to now mock Dillingham the way we do Cristobal? 😆
  4. It's clear, to me at least, that the world of college football has become much more volatile. Fundamentally, it's down to changes in the way money is distributed. With NIL, the transfer portal, the salaries thrown at coaches, the money no longer stays with the schools and the bowls and the NCAA; it's flowing in part now to players and coaches, which in theory at least, is preferable to me. Now, players and coaches make and change decisions at the drop of a stack of cash, turning around programs in a heartbeat. Look north at Washington to see that. Look at U$C. This period of change and chaos probably won't last; some structure will evolve to replace the old one. But, for now, if your team is having a good season, cherish it, because it may not last very long. Conversely, snag a few good players from the portal, throw big money at a new coach, and Bob's your uncle. I guess that, at least, we won't have years of the same 4-6 teams always at the top.
  5. Good, talk me off the ledge.
  6. Another season is coming and end with bad losses, coaches leaving, players undisciplined and unfocused, poor coaching decisions, unhappy fans. After Taggart and Cristobal, I was hoping for some continuity and positivity, which we saw for most of the season. But now, maybe not? Is this just the new normal in college football?
  7. Yeah, he's got some 'splainin to do. About a few things.
  8. Well, this season's ending has certainly been tarnished, in all sorts of ways.
  9. Amen to that. Lanning had to gamble, but maybe he should played a different card.
  10. I'm less concerned about the gambles, which are few but important, than the continuous terrible no-good very-bad-all-day-long run defense. Against a team that wasn't going to pass, ever.
  11. Mario has long left the building. Time to stop blaming him when things go wrong.
  12. I'm pretty sure they're all trying. Mistakes happen, and the Ducks are playing a top-25 team on the road.
  13. Where's that vaunted special teams coach?
  14. Let us now praise that overlooked player, Camden Lewis.
  15. Can we just review every single play and get it over with?
  16. Thank you, PAC 12 referees.
  17. That's the most inept 5 minutes of football I've seen all season from the Ducks. Well, except for the entire Georgia game.
  18. Whittington had penalties on two consecutive plays.
  19. Beavers look way more fired up.
  20. Oregon's strategy was to focus on stopping the run and force the Beavers to pass. After the first two series, why would the Beavers pass?
  21. Anyone able to tell if the Ducks are in cover 1 or cover 2? The camera angles make it hard to tell.
  22. Catch degree of difficulty: infinite.
