  1. It is impossible to root for USC, simply not physically, emotionally nor psychologically possible. I don't care if USC winning would benefit the Ducks, I will still send all possible bad vibes in the direction of the team from hell. That, and I like the Utes when they're not playing Oregon. They always seem like good people.
  2. Chip is going to put his brilliant football mind fully to work for this game. Ducks’ coaches need to be prepared for team weaknesses to be fully exploited, as I agree that Chip will be heavily invested in this game. My Game Day sign would read “BLOCK OFF THE OLD CHIP”.
  3. It’s amazing just how bad much sports “journalism” is. Quantity over quality is the rule. “shaping” Justin Herbert is so ignorant it hurts.
  4. I worry about Chip. Despite his "faceless opponent" talk, I think he's going to be really up for this game. Watch out Tosh, evil lurks in the mind of Chip.
  5. Have to agree with that. We see only what happens in games, not at practice, but games are what counts. It's been a couple of years, and sadly I just don't see it happening with Thompson.
  6. It's really odd; he looks absolutely lifeless and uninterested on the field. His body language says he's just going through the motions. I don't think I've ever seen a quarterback who looks so uninvolved and lacking in any kind of spark. I just don't get what I'm seeing. If anything happens to Nix, we are screwed.
  7. Not only are the Ducks disciplined and playing without penalties, when they celebrate after a play, they're celebrating each other, not themselves. I love that!
  8. Watching a bunch of the USC-Wazzou game, and if Lincoln Riley is an offensive genius, then there hasn't yet been a word invented for Kenny Dillingham.
  9. Red zone brilliance!
  10. This is the QB pressure I've been waiting to see.
  11. Ducks 49 - 27 1 Turnover 3 Sacks 277 Yards Passing
  12. Incomplete. Too early to tell, even though all signs so far are good.
  13. I’m 72 and I love these uniforms. No accounting for taste, I guess.
  14. It's the difference between ratings and rankings. The stars come from an evaluation of skills, the rankings are only a comparison with other players. There aren't many 5-star players.
  15. Not a bit. I always found something creepy about Leach.
  16. Like being the drummer for Spinal Tap, with less severe consequences.
  17. I guess I should have said a chronic problem. So far, they're not, at least by the statistics, but we'll have to see how the season goes.
  18. The Standford game was really sad from a penalty standpoint, but I went back to the box scores for all the games this season, and so far at least, the Stanford game is an outlier. Georgia 5 for 35 yards. E. Washington 6 for 55 yards. BYU 8 for 48 yards. Washington St. 8 for 87 yards. Stanford 14 for 135 yards. Let's hope that the Tree was the low point for the season.
  19. I think the question to ask is why would the officials hate the Ducks? Anyone have an answer for that? I agree that they did a poor job in last night’s game, and in many others, but I don’t think it’s any sort of anti-Duck conspiracy. I think PAC game officials are equal-opportunity incompetents. That, and officiating is difficult.
  20. That’s what I’m belatedly beginning to think.
  21. Can Bo stay for another 5 years? Thompson just looks lifeless out there.
  22. The Ducks’ quality of play is dropping rapidly. Like they’re bored.
  23. Strange game, great result so far. Hard to argue with 31 - 3. Too much woofin’ from the Ducks for my taste. Make a good play? Get up and make another one. Don’t showboat.
