  1. OBD: Our Beloved Ducks and Oregon Brand Ducks.
  2. Hey! I’m happy. My team wins by 18 on the road, while not playing its best. The glass is well more than half full.
  3. This Millner kid is from Gilbert AZ, the home of Ty Thompson. Millner looks better than both Plummer and Thompson.
  4. Yeah, sometimes these games happen. But, not like under...um...what was his name, again?
  5. L-o-n-g way to go. Concerned, but not worried. Talent will win out.
  6. Gonna be one of those games.
  7. Since the internet (aka, everything is free) killed local newspapers, all journalism - sports and otherwise - has suffered badly. There simply is no longer the revenue being generated to pay for the quantity and quality of journalists that we need. It's pretty simple and well documented. Until someone can figure out how to monetize journalism again - and good luck with that - expect more of the same, if it doesn't get even worse. On another note, I think Rasheed Wallace had sports reporters figured out back in his Blazers' days. No matter what he was asked, he'd respond with the same thing, "Both teams played hard". After a while, reporters left him alone, which is what he wanted.
  8. Oregon 45 - 17 3 turnovers 3 sacks 311 yards passing
  9. Wow, that guy is bitter, but he's honest about it, anyway. Remember all that angst a few months ago about the "competition" between Nix and Thompson and Butterfield? We were silly, weren't we? I'd say the truth is that Nix has always been good, just not on good teams and always burdened by his assigned role as the savior of Auburn football.
  10. Long, slow drives? You could call it the "Dilly-Dally".
  11. I know the future is bright, but I ask myself if right now - this season - is a time we'll look back on and think, "Oh yeah, that was pretty great". Bo Nix is playing superbly. Next year's QB will be...someone playing not nearly as well. This OL is beyond good. Next year's OL will be...not nearly this good. Yes, Ducks will still have have Kenny Dillingham, outstanding receivers, and a up-and-coming defense. But, I think it may be a couple of years - if then, who knows - before we see the likes of this team again. Dillingham's brilliant design and play calling is working in a large part because of the talent and performance of Nix and the OL. Without them, I'm not sure it's the same happy deal we're seeing now. Dillingham is brilliant, but the players have to able to execute his play. I guess what I'm saying is enjoy what's happening now for all it's worth. It's pretty cool. And, it doesn't happen that often, does it?
  12. Of course, in the USC-verse, losing is always somebody else's fault.
  13. Oregon Recruiting: Ducks land commitment from 4-star IOL in 2023 class DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Double QUACK on a Monday. Oregon landed their second commitment of the day, this time...
  14. And, Oregon crystal balls for Iapani Laloulu, 4-star OL from Hawaii; along with Justin Williams, 4-star LB from Texas. 15. Remember how terrified we'd all be under Mario trying to see out a game with a lead?
  16. Bobo has been a killer on two 4th-down plays. And, Charbonnet is an incredible back.
  17. Flounder speaks for us all!
  18. Ain't seen nuthin' like this in a long time.
  19. I'm staying nervous: UCLA scores to open the 2nd half, and they're only down 11.
  20. Game plan: UCLA can't score if they never have the ball.
  21. Meanwhile, in a galaxy far, far away, Miami has 8 - that's right, 8 - turnovers on one game. 5 fumbles lost and 3 interceptions. More physicality is obviously needed.
  22. Are we not entertained?!?!
  23. Pressure is on both teams to score on every possession.
  24. Where did you see/hear that?
