  1. DTR maybe a bit too amped up? Let's hope.
  2. O-line timing looked a little shaky on that first drive.
  3. - Oregon - 45-38 - 1 - 2 - 287
  4. Great analysis...what happens with this play if the defense is in zone coverage?
  5. I'm used to Wilner hating on the Ducks, so this all makes me even more nervous.
  6. Old people aren't supposed to understand. It's why young people do half of what they do. Always has been, always will be.
  7. As a rule, the more worried I am about a game, the better the Ducks do. Pessimism is my lucky t-shirt. If that's true, OBD will excel against UCLA because, man, am I nervous about this game.
  8. I wish them both nothing but the worst. Sorry, but I'm that petty and mean-spirited.
  9. Since the season has started, I've realized how much I like games with West Coast opponents. You know, the PAC, however many members it has. When you get Washington State, then Stanford, then Arizona, you realize how much you like the West and the regional nature of the PAC games. It's the history, the geography, the variety, the fact you may have been to a lot of the other states, that makes the games seem more fun to me. How excited could anyone get about playing Purdue in November?
  10. At a certain level of skill, is kicking more mental/emotional/psychological than anything? Top-rated kickers don't pan out, some teams (looking at you, Utah) always seem to have good kickers, Ducks have had a kicking game that has ranged from an afterthought to terrifying (to Ducks' fans). It seems totally random. I will be happy to welcome Grant Meadors when he signs. And, hope the hype pans out.
  11. Sometimes it's not enough that one wins; in those times it's necessary that other lose, too. This is one of those times. Down with USC in all its manifestations.
  12. It is impossible to root for USC, simply not physically, emotionally nor psychologically possible. I don't care if USC winning would benefit the Ducks, I will still send all possible bad vibes in the direction of the team from hell. That, and I like the Utes when they're not playing Oregon. They always seem like good people.
  13. Chip is going to put his brilliant football mind fully to work for this game. Ducks’ coaches need to be prepared for team weaknesses to be fully exploited, as I agree that Chip will be heavily invested in this game. My Game Day sign would read “BLOCK OFF THE OLD CHIP”.
  14. It’s amazing just how bad much sports “journalism” is. Quantity over quality is the rule. “shaping” Justin Herbert is so ignorant it hurts.
  15. I worry about Chip. Despite his "faceless opponent" talk, I think he's going to be really up for this game. Watch out Tosh, evil lurks in the mind of Chip.
  16. Have to agree with that. We see only what happens in games, not at practice, but games are what counts. It's been a couple of years, and sadly I just don't see it happening with Thompson.
  17. It's really odd; he looks absolutely lifeless and uninterested on the field. His body language says he's just going through the motions. I don't think I've ever seen a quarterback who looks so uninvolved and lacking in any kind of spark. I just don't get what I'm seeing. If anything happens to Nix, we are screwed.
  18. Not only are the Ducks disciplined and playing without penalties, when they celebrate after a play, they're celebrating each other, not themselves. I love that!
  19. Watching a bunch of the USC-Wazzou game, and if Lincoln Riley is an offensive genius, then there hasn't yet been a word invented for Kenny Dillingham.
  20. This is the QB pressure I've been waiting to see.
  21. Ducks 49 - 27 1 Turnover 3 Sacks 277 Yards Passing
  22. Incomplete. Too early to tell, even though all signs so far are good.
