Are AD's Getting More Patient with Coaches?

Sign stealing aside, I think Jim Harbaugh is a good example of what can happen if an AD is patient with a coach. -
Oregon Football: Superlatives of the Season
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
With regard to the Ducks vs. Them videos. Do you think other teams watch them or is this another coincidence? Just like how other programs started using multiple uniform combinations about 15 years ago. -
He definitely knows the significance of the Bronco/Raiders rivalry.

OSU Beavers Claim Pac 2 Championship
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
That’s nice in theory, but the minute the Ducks lose a game those Beavis fans you feel sorry for will be crawling out of the woodwork talking all kinds of trash. I say let them rot in the Group of Five or Six. -
Oregon Opens as Heavy Favorite Over Washington
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
That Michigan/OSU line is huge. Michigan’s offense ran up 50 on NW this past weekend. Maybe they found something. Ducks need to find some offense this week. I went to the Arizona game in 2010 on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Oregon had just come off a bad win at Cal and had a slow start, but eventually ran it up on them. Let’s hope for the same thing this year. -
I seriously wonder if the Pac 12 handed out their championship trophy this year. You know Beavis would display it proudly next to their CWS trophies.

The SEC is Mad and They Aren't Going to Take it Anymore!
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The SEC bias was based on the Nick Saban effect. He never had one recruiting class that didn’t win a national championship from 2007 to 2020. After the 2009 season until his retirement he never had roster that didn’t have a national champion on it. That will never happen again because of the way recruiting has changed. We will soon see more of a program bias rather than a conference bias. However, you will see Kirby Smart win more national championships and I think Dan Lanning is capable of doing the same. The reason I say this is because great coaches will always be the X-factor when it comes to championships and I think Kirby and Dan are the best out there. -
Oregon Remains Unanimous No. 1 in Latest AP Poll
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Bama is sitting at 13 with two losses to unranked teams. They’re just waiting to see who loses the ACC championship, so they can slide them into a playoff spot. However, even the committee can’t stop them from getting jumped by the Big 12 champion, so they’re going to need a couple of losses. Bama’s best bet is for USC East to beat Clemson, Miami to beat SMU and UGA to lose. They would probably jump a 3 loss UGA team since they beat them in a head to head matchup. -
Ohio State 38 Indiana 15: What Do You Make of This?
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Could OSU beat Oregon. Of course. As much as I would love for the team to win the trophy, I think they would still only fall to #2 and grab the 5th seed in the playoff. For those who don’t know about the bracket, the 5th seed plays the 12th seed at home (likely the Big 12 champ) and then the 4th seed which is the worst of the other conference champs (likely Boise State). So, in short, losing the B1G championship game won’t be the end of the world. -
So, Who is the Best Team in the SEC?
DrJacksPlaidPants replied to David Marsh's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ole Miss has three losses against unranked teams. Bama has two losses against unranked teams. A&M has one loss against an unranked team. The funny thing about this is the Aggies can still make the SECCG next week with a win. The committee has also said they won’t overlook a conference championship game runner up because they’re still considered the second best team in the best conference. So, it’s feasible that a four loss A&M team could be in the playoff. -

Bammer fans have accepted their fate and have moved on to “backing the Brinks truck up to Dan Lanning’s house”. -

I would argue that Notre Dame is playing some of the best football in the country right now. -

It proves OSU is better than Indiana just like Oregon beating Oregon State last year 31-7 proved OBD was better than Beavis. Nothing more, nothing less. -
You obviously have the insider knowledge of the Duck locker room that I do not possess. So, if you say we need to get a QB out of the portal then I guess we do. I haven’t been able to gauge Novosad or Moore’s ability to play through their garbage time kneel downs.
