  1. This isn't news we want to hear. Meanwhile Oregon up one on # 17 Arkansas at the half.
  2. Also their top receiver. Plus just glanced at the two deep and the starting tight end and three starting OL are listed as seniors. No idea how snaps were divided between 1st and 2nd string but seven of the starting offense will not be returning.
  3. UCLA will have a huge hole at running back with the graduation of Zach Charbonnet and his 2500 rushing yards over the last two seasons. Guy was impressive and I doubt his production will be replaced.
  4. Oregon transfer Dawson Jaramillo picks NC State NCSTATE.RIVALS.COM Oregon offensive lineman Dawson Jaramillo was a late addition to visiting NC State this past weekend, and it paid off.
  5. Hypothetical. Could an incoming freshman enroll early (January), participate in spring practice and then enter the late transfer portal window? I assume they could. Wouldn't that make the Holy Grail of a signed letter of intent almost obsolete?
  6. Lots of online chatter that Kayden Proctor will indeed flip---to Alabama. Probably explains the news of a 'Bama OL commit switching to Arizona this morning.
  7. A 24 minute respite from the drama and anxiety of football recruiting.
  8. No, we are just speculating on the motives and integrity of a kid who lives 2000 miles away. Sheesh, what do you want--facts? To be fair that speculation is fueled by websites paid to fan the flames.
  9. If I had a penny for every time a teenage boy changed his mind despite the advice and encouragement of adults I would be wealthy beyond my wildest dreams.
  10. Similar sentiments were expressed regarding transfers and one-and-done players in basketball. The constant churn in hoops has not only diminished the product that takes the floor but for me has sucked out all my interest. From attending every game and then going home top watch the replay during the Kamikaze Kids era to not even turning on the TV if they are scheduled. I'll watch the women as they tend to play as a team but it would be difficult to care less about the men. I fear football is on the same path to apathy.
  11. Not sure I share the same confidence that kids will suddenly start making decisions in a rational manner. Look no further than a certain former Oregon coach. Despite a multi-year track record of not developing players abilities he continues to reel in top shelf talent. The evidence is there for all to see yet it remains hidden in the mind of the athlete.
  12. I don't see any drama from Moore, he simply took a visit. Recruiting websites, on the other hand, have elevated this to a 1950's daytime soap opera, maybe "As The Recruiting World Turns" would be an appropriate title. The more drama the more $$$$.
  13. Wasn't Florida playing their third string QB? Just looked up his stats on ESPN, he had 14 career passing attempts with 7 completions prior to today. Frustrating that he still looked better than TT.
  14. I think it is a bit early to question the motives and integrity of an eighteen year old kid. As far as I can tell he hasn't said anything. Most of the "smoke" is being generated by websites that profit from stirring the ashes. We will have the answer soon enough.
  15. The Top Ten dual threat quarterbacks in the 2018 class per 247. I don't see a lot of household names. Justin Fields Dorian Thompson-Robinson Justin Rogers Phil Jurkovec Emory Jones Colson Yankoff Adrian Martinez Spencer Sanders Dakereon Joyner Gerry Bohanon
  16. Looking back who has Chip developed into a NFL quality QB? I guess you can give him Dennis Dixon in his first year as OC. I'm not sure Dorian Thompson-Robinson is anything more than a journeyman.
  17. Where is Willie Lyles when you need him? Oh, that's right, he works with Chip. In the old days this news would be devastating. With the portal it is just a hiccup.
  18. Probably waiting to check out the ACL he tore pre-season before they offer. 34 starts for Texas, profile shows he is from Salt Lake City. Junior Angilau, Isaiah Neyor hurt in Texas Longhorns' football scrimmage, will miss remainder of season WWW.ESPN.COM Texas offensive lineman Junior Angilau and wide receiver Isaiah Neyor suffered season-ending injuries in Saturday's scrimmage...
  19. An unregulated NIL collective, probably set up to shield the founders from any financial responsibility, isn't meeting their obligations? I'm as shocked as Hayward. Many athletes will learn a bitter lesson way to early in life.
  20. Or you can emulate U$C and have your players make the 'pre-portal' contact. Just friends reaching out to inform a player of a great opportunity, wink wink. Impossible to regulate. Pandora's box anyone?
  21. I'm old enough to remember Oregon desperately needing the league revenue sharing plus at least one annual payout game to keep the athletic department somewhat solvent. If the powers in the Pac-8 had taken the stance many here advocate we could be playing Southern Oregon each year as our rivalry game. Revenue sharing allowed Oregon to survive until they became competitive. I'm reluctant to deny others the same opportunity. Isn't sports about a level playing field?
  22. Interesting bit in this tweet regarding Ajani Cornelius. It may be why Jaramillo decided to test the portal. Offensive tackle is barren in the portal this year, so the good ones really stick out.
  23. Admittedly a very low bar but it will be an improvement. Apparently widely respected.
