Dan Lanning Contract Incentives
Remember he gets $12,500+ every day of the year.

Oregon State 6.2 Yards Per Carry
That says it all. A one dimensional team dominated the Duck defense, a term I use loosely.

GameDay Thread vs. Oregon State: Join Us!
Oregon State ran for 268 yards, 60 yards passing. Is that total failure by the entire defensive coaching staff?

Speechless.

Why did they bring back the 1st quarter defense?

Deja vu for the Washington game. OSU is fired up.

Nebraska Hires Matt Rhule
He took Baylor from 1-11 to 11-1 in just a couple years. With the portal Nebraska may become a factor in the B1G quicker than many anticipate. Matt Rhule's defense against Lincoln Riley's offense could be interesting.

Nebraska Hires Matt Rhule
Good hire. I wanted him after Helfrich was fired but Baylor was more appealing for some reason.

Poor Mario: 'Cane Fans Can be BRUTAL
This year the portal is restricted to 60 days so very few players have publicly announced their intentions. We will know more in a few weeks. The transfer windows, which will go into effect in time for the 2022-23 season, will allow 60 days per year for athletes to enter the portal and maintain immediate eligibility for first-time transfers. For fall sports like football, the period will be split into two periods. The first, a 45-day period, will start the day after championship selections are made. A second window will be instituted from May 1-15 so players can enter the transfer portal after spring camp.

Kenny Dillingham Has Talked with ASU
The first year contract for Mike Bellotti was right at $175,000. No, I didn't omit a zero, it really was less than the lowest paid assistant today. OC Kenny Dillingham is being paid roughly 40% more this year alone than the total of head coach Mike Bellotti's 1995 four year contract.

Kenny Dillingham Has Talked with ASU
OK, he has had discussions with "power-brokers" but the search "“has not progressed much over the past weeks.”. Want to know more? All you need is a credit card to sign up.......

Kiffin to Auburn?
Next season will be really interesting. I'm not sure how Dan Lanning and Lane Kiffin will divide up the head coaching duties at Auburn. Offense/Defense? Oregon will be hurting with Kenny Dillingham taking over at ASU. He will probably flip Dante Moore to the Sun Devils. Washington will rule the Pac-? after all the inland schools jump to the Big 12. At least we will have San Diego State as a conference opponent. It's all true. I read it on the internet.

Boy, the Experts Sure Had Oregon Pegged...
Although we correctly question some of the offensive play calls that don't work gotta give credit to those that do. From Lanning's post game comments... “It certainly was a different game, I don’t think there’s any secret. We asked Bo right before that play if we could run the play knowing that the two options were to hand it off or for him to keep it and he said ‘absolutely.’ That guy’s got heart, he cares about the game, he cares about this team and I think it shows in the way he plays."

Congrats to the Ducks From a Ute Fan
Thanks, classy post. Question on Cam Rising and his injury. How are the Ute fans evaluating his performance last night? I saw a tweet before the game that he was wearing a larger than normal brace. Was he playing on pure grit and determination just like Bo? I'll leave you with a quote for Lanning's post game comments Utah fans might miss. Says a lot about Utah and their coach. "That’s a good team we just played. I’ve got more respect for Coach Whittingham than anybody else in this conference, he’s won a lot of ball games and that’s a good team."

Why Is This Allowed?!
The SEC has spent years beating up the Sisters of the Poor in mid-November, Really not a bad strategy. They play their final few games rested and somewhat healthy while, for example, the Pac-12 championship game will probably showcase two teams who are physically and emotionally tired.

Oregon's MINDBENDING Defensive Performance
Internet rumors claim Lanning decided to take a more active role in defensive play calling after the Washington debacle. Is that what we saw last night?

Pac-12 Championship Game Madness is Good for the Conference
If the mutts and Ducks both lose is it still Oregon to the championship game?
