Posted December 29, 20222 yr As much as I love to root for the Pac-12, especially during the bowl season, the Huskies are my one exception. I just can't do it.

I agree. If the Huskies win, it's good for the Pac-12, but I can't bring myself to root for that classless program in the north.
December 29, 20222 yr Administrator It's good-or-good. That is how I spin it in my twisted little mind... If the Huskies win...that is good for the Pac-12. If the Huskies lose...that is always good. Husky mascot taunting an Oregon fan in 2016... Mr. FishDuck
December 29, 20222 yr Sorry, media rights valuation is still to be determined. The Pac needs as many W's as possible. Besides, it's against Texas.

December 29, 20222 yr Moderator When I saw their bowl game on the schedule, my first response was, “oh good, I hope they lose.” Then, I thought about the bigger picture of a PAC 12 win, and I thought, “oh good, I hope Texas burns their kennel to the ground.” Edited December 29, 20222 yr by Washington Waddler spelling
December 29, 20222 yr Root for what is good for Oregon. What's better for the PAC is good for Oregon.
December 29, 20222 yr I just 'Verped' in my mouth. OK... Oh boy.....here....we....go.... I am rooting for Washington. But, it's much deeper than what it seems on the surface. I can't stand the arrogance of the SEC. Texas is headed to the SEC, so I consider them SEC right now. If it 'Just Means More' in the SEC then I will hold my nose and take the Win vs SEC as well as a win in the Bowl season for the PAC. But, I'm still trying to figure out how we can have the win vs the SEC and still have a loss for UW. I need help!!!

December 29, 20222 yr I'll root against. With the portal, NFL and coaches leaving I don't think anyone can put much stock in bowl wins and losses.
December 29, 20222 yr Moderator I don't think of it as rooting for the fuskies. I see it as hoping they don't blow it for the Pac.
December 29, 20222 yr Moderator I can’t root for teams with fans that wear purple. I have excluded that color from my wardrobe. I also will only wear orange when required by law ; )

December 29, 20222 yr If the dawgs lose we end up ranked ahead of them. If they win, they beat us and end up ranked ahead of us. I couldn't care less about how the pac-12 looks. I just care about ME and my Ducks! I also know how much that would bother the dawg fans and that makes me happy. Edited December 29, 20222 yr by Haywarduck addition
December 29, 20222 yr I hate Texas but hate the Fuskies more. Just can't root for either team, but I'll still watch. P12 will still be 2-2 in bowls if they lose, I'm OK with that. The good news is that one of them has to lose and I hate them both, so that's a win for me regardless ha ha.

December 30, 20222 yr Never. Never, never, never, never root for the Fuskies. Too many memories of a sea of purple on Franklin Blvd., celebrating their superiority. NEVER.
December 30, 20222 yr I don't like UW, I personally haven't had a lot of confrontations with their fans really though, so I'll hold my nose and root for the conference. I'm tired of the Pac-12 being a joke in the eyes of the nation, we need to bring up the rep to get more attention out west. I know people will say "Let's be the Clemson of the west coast!" personally though I want to see high profile games in the conference instead of beating up on a bunch of weak teams. Only way we do this is win games out of the conference and eventually have success in the playoff. It's going to be a long process, but my dream is that the LA schools fall flat on their face in the Big 10, and Oregon, Utah, UW, and maybe one of two other teams really establish themselves as top 15 teams on a consistent basis, probably a pipe dream though!
December 30, 20222 yr IDK, I'll deny myself and -gulp!- root for the Fuskies because I am of the mindset that what's good for the PAC-12 is good for Oregon too lol. Just like spartan 2785 stated - I'm tired of the PAC-12 being viewed as a joke conference and the only way to get respect and interest, and thus revenues, is to win. The rest of the PAC especially need to step up to the plate since the LA traitor schools are leaving.

Montlake Mutts 56 - Oregon 0. It's seemed to go on like that almost for about forever. Until about the time "The Play" happened.
December 30, 20222 yr I will root for the Bruins tonight, still enjoy chip ball. I guess I also wonder how a trojan win will benefit the Pac-12 and not the Big losers? Let the trojans have a close game, but then choke it at the end. No physical injuries, just emotionally destroyed. That is all I want.
