Forget the spread, but who is the outright winner in tonight's 6:00 PM game on FS1?  This is tough, as I see the factors below...

 

--Oregon State is very tough at home the last two years...

--Without Cam Rising....can Utah score enough?

--Utah's incredible run defense versus the Beaver run game...whew!

--Can the Beavers score enough through the air?

 

What other factors do you see, and what is YOUR pick?  (And don't forget the OBD Prediction Contest in the green pinned post at the top of the forum!)

 

Mine is Utah, 17-14, although an OSU win would help scramble the Pac-12 title race.

 

 

I'll go the opposite, Beavs 17 - 14

Beavis... Utes will see that "OREGON'$ TEAM" is coming and freeze!

Well, Steven took mine, so I´ll go with 20-14 Beavers.

24-20 Beavers.  Home field is HUGE this year in the PAC, because every team and fan base is frothing at the mouth with this being the last year.  Utah will rest Cam Rising, until they need him.  He makes his first appearance tonight, but Beaver D is a tough first night and it's not enough.

Beavers 13-7

This game will be like pulling teeth to watch.

Beavs win. Utes +4, cover.

Spot on take. The Utes no O on an ffense focused on the run game and excellent D has returned CFB to Woody Hayes and 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Add in DJU looking like he did at Clemson and this will be a taffy pull.

 

Now, we'll probably see a shootout, right? 

Vegas says Beavs by 3, and 44.5 total.   So, that would be 24-21.

 

Utah has to travel for a Friday game.  Don't think Smith will let Beavs lose two in a row.  But, Whittingham seems to scout opponents very well.

I know it's double OT, but Utah is going to put up 21 more points ( 7 of the 14 came on a pick 6) than it did at home vs. UCLA.

 

Cam Ward will not be there to light up the Beavs pass D.

Why not! You have no idea? I'm .500 versus Vegas to date. The folks in the desert are good. 

Beavs 21 Utes 20. No reason just a gut feeling.

 

If Cam Rising doesn't play, OSU pulling out a win in the 4th quarter.  24-17.  If Rising does play would favor Utah.

With Cam Rising playing, I believe the Beavers still win the game 21-17.  Without Cam Rising, 24-10.  The Beavers are seriously tough to beat at home and Utah has been just getting by (on the strength of their defense) so far this season.  This will be the Utes 1st loss.

     If DJ Uiagalelei can make completions, then the Muskrats have a chance. If he can’t, then they’re facing a Utes run defense that already knows it’s on their shoulders to get the W.  But, I’ve got to agree, that the other side of this coin is Smith not allowing his players to accept the idea of two losses in a row, especially at home.

 

      Nutria 10 - Utes 7

I think the Utes winning streak sans Cam Rising comes to an end in Corvallis. Beavis wins 20-10.

It's at Oregon State? I'd take them simply due to that, and a better QB. Wouldn't shock me to see Utah make it a low scoring affair, which I would pick them in.

 

Oregon State scores under three touchdowns, Utah wins. Otherwise Oregon State keeps their PAC Two title hopes alive.

10-7 Beavs. No UT offence and Beavs will struggle against UT's D.

Well I’m going with the Beavs to pull this out at home.  River rats are tenacious little jokers, I can’t keep them out of my pond. 
 

27-17 Beavers

Unlike ucla, the pond rats can play defense. Withoit Cam Rising the Utes will struggle to get points.

 

DJ is back to being sporadic. This does not bode well for scoring against Utah.

DJU needs a pristine pocket to complete long throws.  Utes will disrupt him enough that he throws 2 picks.

I got up at 12:45 am for work. I am not going to make it through this game with this snooze fest

Just watched the first half......the Utah QB is horrible........and the Or St QB is a little bit better. 

 

I have to admit this is the first game I have watched in a long time that the many commercials are almost a relief from watching the quarterback play

The clear winner of this game is Kyle Whittingham’s hair.

I'm late to the party but I was going to pick the Biebers. The injuries are finally taking a toll on Utah, especially with no Cam Rising.

 

DJU is looking competent. Not great but good enough right now.

I think I'm going to guess 28-0 Beavers. Is it cheating to bet during the 4th quarter? Haha
