July 8, 20223 yr Woohoo! Huge pickup for Oregon!!!! Welcome to Eugene, Dante!!!! Edited July 8, 20223 yr by OregonDucks
July 8, 20223 yr Oregon Ducks get commitment from QB Dante Moore, No. 8 college football recruit for 2023 WWW.ESPN.COM QB Dante Moore, who is the No. 8 overall recruit in the 2023 ESPN 300 and the No. 3 pocket-passer, has committed to play for Oregon and new coach Dan Lanning, he told ESPN.

July 8, 20223 yr Next 10 recruits will average 4.25* boiiiiiii. This will result in a top 10 class possibly top 5
July 8, 20223 yr Moderator I really like what he had to say about the process and why he chose Oregon.

July 8, 20223 yr 5-5* left that have Oregon as a high choice. All 'Warm' in their interest for Oregon.
July 8, 20223 yr Moderator Now if Dante and coaching staff can recruit Richard Young (RB) to be a Duck would be fantastic! Dante Moore and Richard Young seem to hit off really well when they visited Oregon. Edited July 8, 20223 yr by NJDuck
July 8, 20223 yr In this conference alignment mess of an environment, this is a huge get for Lanning and staff. Makes me a little optimistic again!
July 8, 20223 yr This is big and now we also just gained a big recruiter for this class. I think our chances for some other big recruits just improved.
July 8, 20223 yr Moderator This should make for an interesting competition for the upcoming season. Dante's been a starter from freshman to senior in high school and is considered a very polished recruit compared to other high school kids. It's possible he could push the rest of the QB room in the Fall, not saying he would start but he could conceivably leapfrog at least one of the other QBs in the pecking order.
July 8, 20223 yr Ducks now in virtual tie for 5th on average recruit rating (247 composite) with USuC only Norte Dame, tOSU, Georgia, Bama ahead. And bet is more five stars on the way to UO with this domino. 8 of 11 current commits are 4/5 stars. More coming
July 8, 20223 yr This is great news. Hopefully the first of a few more 5☆ players committing to Oregon. I know its along way to LOI day but well done Coach Lanning and staff. Will be interesting to see how many 5☆ and high 4☆ Usuc committs really want to play in the midwest. Or the massive amount of 3☆ players that committ to ucla Gonna be wild ride. GO DUCKS ........
July 8, 20223 yr Some strong hints that Young is next. This could be the best Oregon recruiting class ever....
July 8, 20223 yr Administrator If I am a recruit on offense...between what you hear of what Dillingham wants to do, and now a QB is there who is special? Sign me up! C'mon...You Should Be Dancing! (Gosh I loved the BeeGees) Mr. FishDuck

Wouldn’t surprise me. As I said before, there is something about Oregon that this kid really likes! No matter what, Big win for the Ducks today!!! I say again “Very well done Ducks”
July 8, 20223 yr Interesting if true. New Oregon QB commit Dante Moore declined NIL meetings, focused on other things in recruitment WWW.MLIVE.COM Moore also said the Michigan Wolverines were "very close" to landing him before ultimately choosing the Ducks.
July 8, 20223 yr Now we need the trenches. Come on DL Hicks, Greene, Gardner, OL McVay, Pulido, Banoelos, Aiken, and any of the other maulers. Uaigelelei, B Nichelson, Nemo Avery, B Purchase, a TE M Pemba. And J Wayne steal him back from Miami.

'Coach Lanning and all the coaches and everybody didn't have much input on it, but if they do join them or join the Big 12 or whatever it is, I know we'll be in a big conference for us to keep competing and be the best we could be.'" ------------------------------------------------------------- I would be shocked if Coach Lanning was not being kept in the loop on conference re-alignment and asked for his thoughts. Usually you'll keep your top employees informed and ask for their input, so that they feel a part of the process, especially since conference realignment is being driven by football.
July 8, 20223 yr The SEC has taught us all one thing---Put together the very best team you can and No more than 6 tough games per year.

Nowadays I hear so many pundits talking about high flying offenses, that’s fun to watch. But if you want to win consistently, dominate the line of scrimmage! Many things have changed, that hasn’t.
July 8, 20223 yr It has certainly been a roller coaster of a ride for all of us. It's one thing to take a 5☆ recruit from ND, LSU, TA&M or Michigan. Thats Top 15 recruiting When and if Young committs to Oregon that would be at the top level. The top top level. Pulling a recruit from Alabama or Georgia is and would be outstanding. Thats what it takes to pull a top 5 class. Along with top dollar NIL money.
July 8, 20223 yr Administrator Whew! "Getting out there and seeing the facilities, the best facilities in the country, I believe," Moore said. "Everything is updated and [Nike founder] Phil Knight has put so much money into the university. Everything that's at the university is going to help. People that go to Oregon get the best throughout their whole process of being there because they have every tool you need to better yourself." Mr. FishDuck

July 8, 20223 yr Kid is on track to throw for almost 10,000 yards and 48 touchdowns. Not a bad high school career.
July 8, 20223 yr The NIL seemed more important for Iaveccia and Rashada than Moore. He likes the fit rather than just for the $$$. Seems like a mature 17 yrs. I believe we got the better of the 3. Wasn't he the MVP of the show in Vegas? Go Ducks Fly High

To much chance for the recruits to be just for the money rather then the fit of coaches and team. Better chance of him being a team player and not a primadonna out for himself.

Yep, I wonder how TT feels about this, esp. if he doesn't get to start this year. Oh boy, I feel bad for him - wasted talent no thanks to Mario...
