  1. Thank you Charles for an interesting and thought provoking article! While the 2023 version OBD is much improved in nearly every facet of the game from 2022, unfortunately the 2023 version of the putrid purple and hooker gold scumbag curs from the north are also better than their previous rendition. That said, it will be fun to watch OBD put an epic beat down on the sniveling mutts on National TV! Go Ducks!
  2. Charles, I most definitely share your Fine-Feathered-Fantasy! I also think this year’s version of OBD have the talent, depth, skill, and attitude to deliver and undefeated National Championship season! If DL can keep them hungry and looking to get better with each outing, and if they play to their potential with no letdowns, 2023 may just deliver what PK and the rest of us have been waiting decades for! Go Ducks!
  3. Nice little hype video, but they are only one of Oregon’s teams. Oregon has a LOT of teams, from elementary schools, junior high schools and high schools, all the way up through junior college and universities. All of them are Oregon’s teams. The Beavers can preen and moan and cry and swagger all they want, but EVERYONE knows who tho top team in our state is, and it ain’t the one in Corvallis. There is only one Oregon team that consistently competes with the big boys, and that is Our Beloved Ducks!
  4. I like the Clean Green look!
  5. Thanks PD! That was the one I saw on the replay is the game. Really has me (and the bride) wondering what the others looked like! Perhaps there will be an article at the end of the season with names and photographs.
  6. For those not familiar with it: “Hill said the criteria for big plays are touchdowns of 40-plus yards on offense, takeaways on defense and a special teams touchdown or blocked kick. Players who make those plays sign the custom shoe and celebrate with the scepter. “Each game somebody close to the program is going to design a shoe,” Hill said. “You get to sign the shoe and then you get your moment with your team holding up the scepter. Then after the season, we auction and give it to charity.”
  7. Has anybody gotten photographs of the first two Big Play Scepter? Saw the shoe designed by MM8 last night and it was awesome! Having the shoe dated for the week and signed by the Big Playmakers and auctioned off to charity is a GREAT idea, and one I hope gets legs! A listing showing each shoe, the shoe designer, and the signing playmakers for each week would be cool to see.
  8. I think Neon Deon gets out of Colorado at his first opportunity to go the the BIG or SEC.
  9. Well, the smoke levels here in Eugene are. WAY better than they were in Grants Pass! Looking forward to watching OBD dominate in every aspect of this game! Will enjoy this one from the 3rd row in the south end zone! Go Ducks!
  10. Oregon, 48-12 2 TO 3 Sacks 325 yards passing, 285 yards rushing. Lots of different players continue to get plenty of playing time to strengthen DL’s trend of honing the depth. Go Ducks!!
  11. Well said Wrathis, and sadly, so true.
  12. If they were smart instead of greedy (LOL) all the schools would have stayed in the PAC in all sports but football. They could have preserved the rich history of the conference while keeping the non-football student-athletes from a travel nightmare and preserving their sports by keeping games, meets, and marches somewhat local. I tend to agree with the OSU/WSU stance, 10 of them willingly left. I think it is probably too late for common sense to prevail, and the Beavs and Cougs are playing their ace in the hole.
  13. THAT will enhance the fan experience! The 1st half would be fun, but I think it would go downhill quickly! 🤪
  14. Ducks, 37-17, two int (DB familiarity w/ Shough’s tendencies) 2 sacks, 325 yds passing, 250 yds rushing. Go Ducks!
  15. I am fine with the media falling all over themselves talking up USuC. It just makes it all the better when we beat them. And beat them we will, over and over again, like a dusty old rug from in front of the door. Since 2000 we are 9-5 with one vacated by USuC. 10/14/200- W, 28-17 9/22/2001- W, 24-22 10/26/2001- L, 33-44 9/24/2005- Vacated, L, 45-13 11/11/2006- L, 35-10 10/27/2007-W, 24-17 10/4/2008- L. 44-10 10/31/2009-W, 47-10 10/30/2010-W, 53-32 11/19/2011- L, 38-35 11/3/2012- W, 62-51 11/21/2015- W, 48-28 11/5/2016- L, 45-20 11/2/2019, W, 56-24 12!18/2020- W, 31-24 The more sunshine the media pumps, the better our wins look, while making any loss, not so bad.
  16. It certainly didn’t take Our Beloved Duck long to reach the top of the BIG! A year out and already at the top! Is there any other mascot who ruled in two conferences?
  17. I think our D-line will be one of the most disruptive we have ever seen! We will be reminded of purple people eaters, fearsome foursome and Gang Green. SportsCenter adjectives will include: relentless, overpowering, quick, well trained, and in sync.
  18. While I am hoping for the season JDuck predicts, I am thinking we will see more like: Team results W-L: 14-2 Conf title: win P12 Bowl prediction: CFP win 1, lose 1 Offensive results Ppg: 42 Ypg: 505 TOs: 5 Defensive results Ppg: 24.3 Ypg: 300 Take aways: 12, 2 pic six! Defense pitches 2 shutouts and becomes feared by November. That said, this year’s team has Natty potential if we catch a couple breaks and the ball bounces our way! Go Ducks!
  19. 51%??? Literally the bounce of the ball on a punt…
  20. Autzen Stout… Dang that sounds good! In more ways than one! Go Ducks!
  21. Beaver hatred of all things Duck has always been rooted in jealousy. It is always easier to blame someone else. When they point their finger at the Ducks for Beaver deficiencies, how many fingers in their hand are pointing back at themselves? How is it Oregon’s fault that the BIG did not want the SU’s from the northwest? As noted above, until OSU and WSU address their own problems, they are doomed to mediocrity. I for one can live without the game formerly known as the civil war, but understand it was the Beavs that pulled the plug on it, not the Ducks.
  22. Que up the keening and wailing from the USuC faithful! “Those dirty dad gummed Duck devils are stealing our dog-gonned prized recruits” will come the mournful cry from delusional so cal wine bags or Troy! Go Ducks!
  23. It would definitely help with travel and with non football sports, but I think it would have to happen before USuC get their full member vote. I just don’t see those whining cheat bags approving anything that could benefit the Ducks in any way, shape, or form. Even if it would benefit them as well. They are simply too petty.😏
  24. I am so glad this is finally done and the rampant speculation by the talking heads can move in! Help me to understand my Duck Buddies, but didn’t our road to the CFP just get a lot harder?
