Solar No. 6 Share Posted October 13 (edited) Yep I didn't think we could win tbh. Amazing game. I was okay with losing a close one, but this win should get us into the playoffs one way or another. Everything about this game was unexpected. Offensive pass interference on #4 was the last thing I was expecting. He was rag dolling our dbs all night, but they finally called one at the most inopportune time. Howard threw better than Gabriel. Not what I expected. So many not what I expected things. What a game. Haywarduck Moderator No. 11 Share Posted October 13 The BIG teams were 1-8 on the road with 2 time zones of travel. I would say the crowd was worth at least one point tonight. Great game, but the crowd was the difference. Mr. Harmon was my favorite player of the game. spartan2785 No. 18 Share Posted October 13 You see it's reverse psychology, you predict the loss then reap the rewards!!!! Honestly I just felt like Ohio St. was going to have too many weapons, we didn't have our best pass rusher, I wasn't sure if we could run the ball, it just felt like a game we play tough, but come up a little short as we got worn down. So proud of these guys 2
Solar No. 20 Share Posted October 13 OMG check out the box score. The stats are the most even I've ever seen in a game. A tip of the cap to Ohio State for the uphill battle against the environment, the travel and the game time, that they came to play right out of the gate. BTW did DL grow or what? MDuck No. 27 Share Posted October 13 I’m glad I was wrong. What a game! Both teams looked good. The ducks even had to overcome their own mistakes to win. Jon Joseph Moderator No. 28 Share Posted October 13 NEVER A DOUBT! Even though an OBD interception on the Buckeyes 1st drive turned into a tOSU TD. Tremendous football game. After Puddles shot Soylent Green on a Talking Head head before Kaitlin Olsen copped to losing her virginity on campus. 'THIS' usually happens not before CFB kickoffs. Any OBD Bros and Sisters who want to cop to Kaitlin's reveal? No matter, OBD scored and won the Day, the Chipper, and The Game. Purdue, who knew, took the Illini into OT. Blow Up The Boilers! What a game I thought Howard was more consistent than Gabriel. Dillon threw some absolutely beautiful passes tonight. If DG had just three more accurate throws and one proper read, we're talking another ten points on the board. DG faced more pressure over the duration of the game in my "super hack" opinion. Ohio State fans are going to blame Howard tonight. They couldn't be more (absolutely) wrong. Oklahoma and KSU sure made major mistakes going with potential instead of proven experience. Both teams would be undefeated this very moment, and KSU would be ahead by 14 as I write.

OregonDucks No. 36 Share Posted October 13 (edited) I can't wait to see what this does for Oregon recruiting. They keep getting better and overcoming their mistakes. Going forward, barring any let downs OBD's put themselves in one of the drivers seat for a spot in the BIG title game. A special thanks to usc and ucla for trying to run away from the Ducks by joining the BIG. Inadvertantly opening the door for OBD's to join the BIG. Desert Duck No. 43 Share Posted October 13 That kickoff play where we drilled the OSU player was deliberate. I can't believe the call, but we had the 15 yard penalty on OSU from the previous play so Lanning decided to go for it. So even if OSU recovered it on the 40, they would have ended up on the 25. Crazy, genius, massive big coconuts call! 2 1 4
MicroBurst61 No. 44 Share Posted October 13 Absolutely Amazing Game. Both QB's were "on"! tOSU running backs owned the first half. Oregon's owned the second half. Time management was spot-on and the "correct" decisions based upon the current situation where made, and "mostly" executed. Both teams have some Very, very Good, NFL caliber, receivers. The Oregon Fans made up for a very good travel showing by tOSU fans. So much so, that I believe at least Six of the eight penalties against tOSU can be laid directly at the Oregon Fans making it Impossible for them to think...let alone hear, at the line of scrimmage. Neither team believed themselves the inferior. For me. The Best and most Entertaining game in the Dan Lanning Era! I WILL Definitely be watching the replay and cannot wait till these two teams meet up in a rematch in a couple months! Oregon Ducks Football Absolutely Rocks!! 2 5
cartm25 No. 45 Share Posted October 13 Sometimes things don’t make sense. tOSU appears to have monsters on their team, especially at the WR and DB positions. tOSU cornerback, Burke, is as big as Terrance Ferguson . . . David Marsh No. 46 Share Posted October 13 Fun Stat... Ryan Day is 0-2 against Oregon. Only HC at Ohio State to lose to Oregon... Let alone twice. OregonDucks No. 47 Share Posted October 13 To me, those were two heavyweight teams going toe-to-toe for a full 60 minutes. Either team could have won the game. Nevada Dawg No. 48 Share Posted October 13 On the season card I filled out for he Ducks, I had predicted a close win by the Ducks tonight because I thought he teams reasonably matched and,,,The game was at Autzen (which saw good for about1-2 points). So I am ecstatic. Not that my predictions mean anything, but I also foresaw a slip-up that no one sees coming and a loss in the B1G championship game. This season has simply been too unpredictable to think that anyone will run the table. I had thought the SEC would be easier to forecast this year than almost any conference. How wrong that is turning out to be. Bama was fortunate to win at home today over South Carolina, Georgia struggled some (owing to playing a scad of young pups and almost blowing a three touchdown lead, Ole Miss inexplicably lost to LSU (although it is very difficult to win in Baton Rouge on a Saturday night) and Vandy just keeps chugging along with its third straight SEC win, and on the road no less. The SEC has but one undefeated team, Texas, and that streak may be history this time next week. So we just experienced an unbelievable uplift from he win tonight, but the path through a 16-team playoff field is likely to be a minefield. So tighten your chinstraps and enjoy the ride as long as it lasts. It promises to be an experience that few of us will ever forget. 1 2 2
