Oregon Duck Football Recruitng Chops by Wiltfong
Oregon has moved from one elite recruiting staff to another in the eyes of 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong. When Dan Lanning was hired to replace Mario Cristobal in December, he went hunting for recruiting heavy hitters. Per Wiltfong, he's achieved just that. Big Ten Finishes With Notre Dame and...Oregon?
I think ND can be OK in the 10-20 year range, but their fan base seems to be in their 60's plus. Once, those people are no longer around, I think ND is going to be hard pressed to pull in the TV numbers.

Realignment: Forcing a Round Peg, Square Hole…
B1G TEN and SEC will be making 30-50 mil more than p12, b12 and ACC. Travel expenses are NOT a factor for Olympic sports.

Clearly in Left Field...The PAC Retains All Schools
What isn't mentioned, the Pac 12 owns the Rose Bowl rights. I'm not sure if those end in 2024 or move with UCLA?

Pac-12 Board Approves Exploring Expansion
Everybody is giving lip service and saying the right things. If we don't think every Pac 12 AD/President aren't talking to SEC, B1G TEN or B12, we have our had in the sand. Everybody is looking for their own life raft.

Nobody knew OKlahoma and Texas were moving until it was a done deal. People can be secretive, when they really want to be.

Clearly in Left Field...The PAC Retains All Schools
It is odd that they want to hear from ND, but ND is forced to join the ACC if they want their football team to join a conference or they have to pay the 50 mil exit fee. I can't believe the ACC has a TV contract until 2036. That was absurd.

How Does New 'Pac10' Affect Oregon's 2023 Recruiting Class
USC and UCLA are in for 2 more years. If Oregon goes undefeated the next 2 years, they will be in the playoffs. It is 2024, where it gets dicey. However, Cincy did it, Pac 10 is better than AAC.

Texas A&M Talking about Money to Recruits
A video surfaced on social media this week that appeared to show a Texas A&M staffer trying to sell — literally — recruits on playing for the Aggies. While showing the prospective players around Kyle Field, the staffer pointed to the luxury suites and said “Y’all getting a lot of money from the people behind these suites if you decide to come play here.” Texas A&M staffer caught on video talking about boosters paying recruits LARRYBROWNSPORTS.COM A video surfaced that showed a Texas A&M staffer telling prospective recruits that they would be paid by boosters sitting in luxury suites

Oregon Ducks Lose Left Handed Pitcher Rio Britton
“First off, Thank you to the entire staff at Oregon for allowing me to perform under a winning culture,” Britton wrote. “I’d like to give a huge thanks to my family, friends, and fellow teammates for being alongside and supporting me through this journey. An Arms Race to be First 20-Team Super-Conference. Big Ten or SEC? That's the End Game
The travel time is going to be bad for the students, but we are talking peanuts when you talk about travel costs. B1G TEN schools were going to start receiving 30+ mil more than the pac 12. Traveling costs will be a few hundred thousand more a year? Let's even go traveling costs will be 2 million more a year, the schools will still be profiting an addtional 28 mil a year. Actual travel costs is a non factor. Travel for students should be a factor, but the schools don't care.

USC, UCLA Looking to Leave Pac-12 for Big Ten in 2024
Ugh, no idea who's idea it was, but the Pac 12 has no exit fee. They only hold media rights through 2024. So, USC and UCLA didn't have to give any notice, they could have just walked. Although, I'm not sure when they are going to be in discussions with their new TV, so USC/UCLA just couldn't be like I'm not signing it without some awkwardness. Only ACC and Big 12 have exit fees at the moment.

After USC & UCLA Leave, Who Does Pac-12 Add? Or Do the Pac-12 & Big 12 Merge?
Yeah, when you don't have revenue sharing, everybody goes their own way. USC/UCLA leaving would absolutely cripple the Pac 12, but wouldn't kill it. However, UO and UW leaving would kill it. I'd like to pick and choose schools for merging, but I feel like OSU/UO and WSU/UW are joined at the hip.

USC, UCLA Looking to Leave Pac-12 for Big Ten in 2024
Oregon has the Portland TV market, so to say we don't have a TV market is a little premature. Seattle is 12 and Portland is 21. San Fran is #6 TV market. The funny thing about USC/UCLA is how marginal their TV numbers are, even though they are in LA. Nearly 6 million people is a lot, but just about every major league sport and college sport has always mentioned just how band wagon those schools/LA is.

USC, UCLA Looking to Leave Pac-12 for Big Ten in 2024
I can't find anything about the Pac 12 exit fee. I don't believe even if given a long enough warning a team can just exit the Pac 12. If I remember correctly, it is something like 18 months and 25 mil exit fee at the cheapest.

Two Potential Pac-12 Trap Games For the Ducks
I guess OSU will always have the excuse of they are in Corvallis, but this is year 5 for Jonathan Smith. No excuses. Year / record / conf record / Total offense in P12 / Total defense in P12 / defense scoring average Year 1: 2-10 (1-8) #6 / #12 / #12 Year 2: 5-7 (4-5) #6 / #9 / #10 Year 3: 2-5 (2-5) #8 / #10 / #10 Year 4: 7-6 (5-4) #4 / #9 / #7 Way too much talk of what Jonathan is building at OSU, when looking at the stats and records, it is below average. I'm not scared of that. He has slightly improved OSU, but not enough to impress me. Who knows, maybe he will impress me this year.

Ouch! Ouch! Jon Wilner Throws Shade on Cristobal
All these schools/boosters paying millions to get kids to go to their school will start getting very angry that their team is still going 9-3 or 10-2 and playing in a bad bowl game. Teams have to be willing to spend some money, but going all New York Yankees and not winning anything isn't going to sit well with boosters paying the big bucks. Mario and Jimbo are very good recruiters/coaches, but I'm not sure money will buy them championships. I think Jimbo got lightning in a bottle in 2013 and 2014 and has been very good, but not great before and after. It is really hard to win a championship.

Duck Dive into USC 2022 Team
Riley brought DC Grinch with him from Oklahoma, where he’d been the coordinator for the last three seasons. Grinch provokes quite a bit of controversy in the advanced stats community. I count myself a skeptic, since he only has two spikes into the top 25 in F+ rankings – in 2017 when, as I wrote about last week, he enjoyed extraordinary turnover luck, and in 2020 which is a season that will always have an asterisk in the record books.
